Quick answer

To switch dentists, ask your previous clinic to send recent X-rays, treatment notes, and relevant records to the new clinic. Allo Dental Clinic can help request records, but a current exam is still needed before diagnosis or treatment planning.

Which records are useful?

Recent X-rays, periodontal charting, specialist letters, implant or orthodontic details, and treatment history can help avoid duplicate imaging and give the dentist context.

Can the new clinic diagnose from old records?

Old records are helpful background, but they do not replace a current exam. Teeth, gums, symptoms, and treatment priorities can change.

What if I cannot get my records?

You can still book. The dentist will explain what information is missing and whether updated images are useful.
